Two cutter heads on one walking machine
The DMM-900X clamps onto the plate edge electrically and walks along it under its own feed drive, so plate length is not limited by a machine bed. Two Ø 80 mm cutter heads, each driven by its own 4 kW motor, work the edge together. The head tilts anywhere from 0° to 90°; each pass takes up to 35 mm of bevel width, and repeat passes build the bevel out to 80 mm at 37.5°. Close-pitch cutter heads carry standard CNC inserts, so each insert cuts lightly and replacement stays cheap. The reduction gearbox sits at the rear, which keeps the cutting side clear for narrow plate, and the control box is separate from the electrical cabinet.
Built for the job site.
Where this series earns its keep.
Hull and deck plate preparation
Bevel prep along long hull and deck plate edges, with the machine walking the edge instead of the plate moving through a stationary miller.
Pressure vessel and structural plate
Wide-bevel prep on vessel shell plate and heavy structural sections up to 100 mm thick, at a finish that meets pressure-vessel welding requirements.
