LPM Cordless Tube Facing Machine (Battery-Powered)

18 V battery-powered tube facer for high-purity stainless tubing in cleanrooms and field-install conditions where AC cords are forbidden or impractical. Full-contact stainless collets, micro-feed scale to 0.1 mm, burr-free cold cut hand-off to orbital welding.

02 Working Principle

Why cordless matters in cleanroom and field-install work

Semiconductor fabs, pharmaceutical WFI install rooms and biotech process bays restrict trailing AC cords — they catch on scaffolding, drag particles across cleanroom floors, and present trip hazards in dense pipe runs. The LPM Cordless lifts those constraints: the operator carries the tool and battery, faces a tube, moves on. The 18 V Bosch / Metabo battery standard is what every field crew already stocks — no proprietary battery chemistry, no specialized chargers. Full-contact stainless collets clamp around the full circumference of the tube (rather than three- or four- point contact), eliminating witness marks on EP and BA tube finishes.

03 Key Features

Built for the job site.

// 01
18 V cordless on Bosch / Metabo standard
Uses the industry-standard 18 V Li-ion battery platform. Crew already stocks spares for cordless drills and grinders — no new battery inventory required.
// 02
Full-contact stainless collets
Annular collets clamp the full tube circumference rather than three- or four-point contact. No witness marks on electropolished (EP) or bright-annealed (BA) sanitary tube — the standard requirement for USP class VI and ASME BPE service.
// 03
0.1 mm micro-feed precision
Calibrated feed scale lets operator dial in exact face-off depth. Critical for orbital welding fit-up where face-to-face gap tolerance is typically ±0.1 mm.
// 04
Cold cut — burr-free, no HAZ
Carbide insert at moderate feed produces an oxide-free, burr-free end ready for orbital welding without deburring or pickling. Preserves the chromium-oxide passive layer on stainless.
// 05
4.8 – 7.5 kg — single-operator continuous use
Sized for fatigue-free shift work in overhead and confined-space install positions where AC tools are too heavy or restricted.
// 06
Four sizes cover 1/8" to 2.5"
Covers the OD range of standard sanitary tube (BPE 1/4" through 2.5") used in pharma WFI, semiconductor gas distribution, and food-grade process loops.
06 FAQ

Common questions about the LPM · DC Series.

Can't find your answer?

Cordless or AC — which LPM variant should I order?
Choose DC (cordless) for install work in cleanrooms, overhead and hard-to-cord positions, and for any environment where trip hazards or AC routing complicate work. Choose AC for bench-mounted batch production where the tube comes to the operator — AC delivers constant torque indefinitely and handles larger OD (up to 114 mm) and thicker wall (up to 5 mm).
Will the 18 V battery handle a full shift?
Yes — typical 2.0 Ah battery cycles 100 – 200 facing operations on 0.5 – 1.5 mm wall before swap. Crews typically carry two batteries and a charger in the kit for continuous operation.
Does the full-contact collet handle EP and BA tube finishes?
Yes — that is the design intent. Annular collet contact distributes grip force around the tube's full circumference, with no point-loading that would scratch or burnish the passivated surface. Tube exits the collet with no witness marks visible under 10× inspection.
Can it face a tube already welded into a manifold?
Yes, provided you have axial clearance for the machine body — typically the model's body length (≈ 150 – 250 mm depending on size). The tube end is gripped from the OD by the collet, so the bore can be welded in place without removing the tube from the system.
