Cam-Type Self-Centering Pipe Beveling Machine

Lightweight aluminum-body cold beveler for small to mid-bore pipe (Ø 14 – 114 mm). Cam-lock self-centering clamp engages in one lever stroke; synchronous feed produces a code-grade weld prep without HAZ.

02 Working Principle

How cam-lock self-centering works

A cam disc rotates around the clamp axis; four contact jaws ride the cam profile and converge on the pipe OD in a single lever stroke. Because all jaws are driven by the same cam surface, the cutting head is concentric to the pipe within ±0.15 mm — without manual indication, even on ovalized or out-of-round service pipe. Feed is mechanically synchronous: 0.05 – 0.20 mm of tool advance per spindle revolution, giving consistent chip load and predictable carbide insert life.

03 Key Features

Built for the job site.

// 01
Aluminum body — 13 kg in hand
High-strength aluminum alloy housing. Single-operator lift; usable overhead and in restricted-access positions where a cast-iron beveler cannot reach.
// 02
Cam-lock clamp — < 10 s engage
One lever stroke drives all jaws. No threaded chuck, no hex key. Faster setup on repeat-piece work than any screw-clamp design.
// 03
Synchronous feed
Tool advance is mechanically linked to spindle rotation. Surface finish and insert life are operator-independent.
// 04
Cold cutting — no HAZ
Carbide tooling at machining speeds. Parent metallurgy unchanged; suitable for stainless and Cr-Mo alloy without post-bevel inspection for thermal damage.
// 05
V / Y / J head interchange
Bevel-head module swaps via single locking pin. Tooling geometry conforms to ASME B16.25 standard butt-weld end preparations.
// 06
Electric or pneumatic drive
SCB (electric, 230 V) for indoor fab work; SCP (pneumatic, 6 bar) for refinery and offshore where ignition sources must be controlled.
