M200 Orbital TIG Welding Power Source (Air-Cooled & Water-Cooled)
200 A enclosed orbital TIG welding power source — drives all five Astra Arc weld-head families (ND, MC, H, 8H benchtop and micro) across OD 6.35 – 152 mm. Mechanically and electrically compatible with U.S.-brand M200-family welders, so existing collets, fixturing and validated weld procedures transfer directly. Air-cooled for portable / intermittent work; water-cooled for 100% duty continuous production.

How the M200 platform drives orbital TIG welding
Orbital TIG welding clamps a rotating tungsten electrode inside an enclosed chamber around the tube joint, then executes a programmed sequence — gas pre-purge, arc initiation, current ramp, rotation and pulse modulation, downslope, post-purge — under closed-loop parameter control. The M200 power source is the controller and current supply at the centre of that sequence. Its bilingual touchscreen HMI stores full weld programs (current, voltage, rotation speed, pulse, gas) per pipe size and material, recallable by ID for batch repeatability. The air-cooled variant sizes thermal dissipation to intermittent and field-portable work — no chiller, smaller footprint. The water-cooled variant adds a closed-loop coolant circuit that absorbs heat at source, enabling sustained 200 A operation indefinitely. Both variants are mechanically and electrically compatible with the major U.S.-brand M200 weld heads — collets, gas hoses and validated weld procedures transfer directly, so a fab shop already invested in M200 fixturing can adopt the Astra Arc controller without re-qualifying procedures.
Built for the job site.
Where this series earns its keep.
Pharmaceutical WFI · CIP · bioprocess
ASME BPE-compliant orbital welding for WFI loops, CIP/SIP piping and bioprocess transfer lines. Water-cooled variant required for cleanroom integration and continuous-duty WFI fab.
Semiconductor UPW · gas distribution
SEMI F78-grade welding for ultra-pure water and process gas tube networks in semiconductor cleanrooms. H Series (5H / 10H Swagelok-compatible) is the default head family for cleanroom micro-tube work.
Food, dairy & brewery sanitary lines
3-A and EHEDG-spec orbital welding for dairy CIP, brewery wort and food-process tube networks where weld bead consistency controls cleanability.
